Epidemiology Consultant/Senior Consultant (Drug Safety speciality)
Location - London or Winchester
Hybrid working - minimum 40% (2 days per week) in office with Tuesday as the specified team day

What's the role?
To be successful in this position you will have significant, demonstrable and relevant experience in a consulting or a CRO role alongside the ability to provide excellent service to our clients through both technical expertise and delivery/project management excellence.
We are looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant in Epidemiology, with a specialisation in drug safety, to join our team of experts and strengthen our capabilities in this area. You will play a key role in the design, analysis and reporting of studies using real world healthcare data, such as electronic healthcare records, registries and claims databases. Experience in real world data from the US, UK, major EU markets and Japan is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate a very high level of technical expertise in epidemiology
* Lead and contribute to all stages of projects including:
o Proposal development
o Protocol development
o Project management
o Quality control
o Report and manuscript writing
* Oversee and review the work of other members of the team and support their development
* Contribute to developing advanced methods capabilities in this space
* Demonstrate and develop your expertise by contributing to thought leadership activities
What skills, qualifications and experience are we looking for?
* Proven, demonstrable experience in a relevant role, including experience working in a consultancy or CRO role
* Health-related Masters degree or PhD, ideally in epidemiology or a related specialty
* An excellent grounding in relevant methods with demonstrated experience in conceptualising and delivering previous studies and projects
* Excellent communication skills, including technical writing and presentation skills
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills with programming skills in R or Python desirable
* Experienced in project management, leading multidisciplinary teams and the execution of high-quality scientific work
* Creativity and innovation
* Experience in business development activities, including proposal writing and pitching to potential clients is desirable
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task your workload
* Mentoring and coordination of less experienced team members
