Role Overview
They are seeking an experienced and motivated Audit & Accounts Senior to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and delivering high-quality audit and accountancy services to our clients. Key Responsibilities
* Audit Engagements:
* Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients.
* Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans.
* Supervise and review the work of junior auditors, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and present audit reports and financial statements to clients.
* Accounts Preparation:
* Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
* Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts for clients.
* Review and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
* Client Relationship Management:
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for audit and accountancy matters.
* Provide expert advice and insights to clients on financial, accounting, and regulatory issues.
* Identify opportunities for additional services that may benefit clients.
* Team Leadership:
* Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Compliance and Risk Management:
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the firm's quality control procedures and ethical standards.
* Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring the firm's practices remain compliant.
Qualifications and Experience
* ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with a strong academic background.
* Experience in audit and accounts within a chartered accountancy firm.
* Demonstrated experience in managing audit engagements and accounts preparation.
* Thorough knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and relevant regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
