Half Acres Primary Academy (rated good by Ofsted) is a growing two form entry primary school serving a catchment in central Castleford within the Wakefield ‘Five Towns’ district. Our vision statement is “Aspiring to achieve – enriching lives” and is at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly skilled Administration Officer to join our dedicated team. As the role is highly demanding and variable, flexibility is essential.
Candidates will need to be confident, committed and well-motivated, with high expectations.
You will be part of a passionate and professional team dedicated to raising standards and ensuring that the children receive the best possible care in a vibrant and purposeful environment.
Duties
1. To provide professional efficient administration support within Half Acres Primary Academy under the direction of the Office Manager.
2. To provide general reception duties for the school.
3. To uphold and promote the school’s child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to by all staff.
4. To promote the safety and wellbeing of all students.
5. To maintain accurate records and files, ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
6. Utilise IT skills to manage office systems and software efficiently.
Skills
1. Have excellent communication skills and an ability to relate to people at all levels.
2. Experience of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, PowerPoint and other computer-based information systems.
3. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
4. Appreciation of need to maintain strictest confidence.
5. Knowledge of reception environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10,649.48-£10,818.31 per year
