Description NOV is looking for a Senior Assembly Mechanic to join their Workshop team based in Great Yarmouth. A Skilled workshop fitter required to work on final assembly of Coil Tubing and Nitrogen units. Assembly of new capital equipment including: Nitrogen Pumps, Coil Tubing Power Packs, Control cabins and associated equipment. Description of Duties 1. Work independently without instruction. 2. Use detailed drawings and schematics in the installation and assembly of components for: Coiled Tubing; Nitrogen Pumping Units; Tubing Reels; 3. Installation of basic & complex hydraulic systems. 4. Installation of basic & complex pneumatic systems. 5. Installation of basic & complex diesel power systems. 6. Ensure work area and equipment are maintained correctly and safe to use. 7. Report problems to the Workshop Supervisor for resolution. Health & Safety Use any safety devices and guards fitted. Maintain good housekeeping standards within the department and ensure that gangways, working spaces, fire exits and fire equipment are kept clear of obstructions at all times. Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others who maybe affected by their acts or omissions. No person shall interfere with or misuse anything provided to secure health & safety. Reporting promptly all near hits, accidents, defects and potential hazards. Experience Required Experience as a fitter/mechanic/assembly in a similar environment – or less experience if there is a relevant industry qualification. Car or Heavy plant mechanics are ideal & adaptable. Diesel engine & Hydraulic experience is ideal.
