Cardiff, London or Remote (UK)
We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone.
We’re waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking.

We’re not about selling products - we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo.
We are currently a team of 23 with 18 individual contributors, who are embedded into collectives i.e. Core Banking, Business Banking etc., working cross-functionally with our Product Design, Product Management, and Engineering teams. Our organisation is led by Katherine Vaughan, our Director of User Research.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and run qualitative studies, including field observations and interviews, diary studies, remote and in-person concept testing, and usability studies for existing and future products.
* Identify actionable insights through quantitative methods such as large-scale surveys, and use basic statistical concepts to ensure findings are robust.
* Evaluate and explore information architecture, using tree-tests, card-sorts, and other appropriate methods.
* Work with other researchers to connect the dots across multiple teams and product areas.
* Work within a cross-functional team to define and develop the strategic roadmap and future research needs within our Business Borrowing collective.
* Collaborate with and influence key stakeholders across the organisation, including the wider product teams, company leadership, finance, marketing, compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, and more to get alignment and support for the strategy.
* Work closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, Engineers, and other User Researchers to generate hypotheses and plans for high-impact research that helps us better understand our existing and potential customers.
* Lead the research for your squads, suggesting the best approach and methods to capture the right insights that help us grow and develop our product.
* Collaborate closely with our analytics team to ensure qualitative insights are enhanced by robust quantitative analysis whenever possible.
* Mentor and train Product Managers and Product Designers to conduct their own lightweight research.
* Communicate research findings to inform business decisions through presentations, workshops, reports, or other effective means.
