Part I/II Architectural Assistant or Drafter

Job Summary:
ADF London is seeking an experienced Part I/II Architectural Assistant or Drafter to join our team and support one of our projects in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed construction drawings under the guidance of Design Coordinators and Managers. The candidate will need to be knowledgeable about drawing standards and coordination with interior designers, architects, and sub-contractors. This role is based on-site and in our London office in Kensington with the possibility of working from home one day a week.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed construction drawings for RIBA Stages 4 and 5 (Technical Design & Construction).
2. Coordinate with contractors, architects, and interior designers to ensure accuracy and feasibility of drawings.
3. Ensure drawings align with Approved Documents and relevant design guidance for compliance.
4. Draft construction-ready drawings incorporating gridlines, setting out, annotation, and other essential drafting requirements.
5. Analyse sketches and drawings, identifying and resolving potential issues.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience drafting construction drawings, ideally for commercial projects.
2. Strong understanding of drafting requirements for RIBA Stages 4 and 5.
3. Familiarity with building regulations and compliance requirements.
4. Proficiency in drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
5. Ability to work independently and identify design inconsistencies or potential issues.
6. Experience working in collaboration with contractors, architects, and interior designers.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Architecture as an experienced Part 1 or Part 2 Architectural Assistant.
2. Interior Design.
3. Technical Drafter.
