• Degree level qualification
• Experience of teaching KS3 and KS4
• Relevant postgraduate professional qualification
• Some teaching experience in a school with a similar context.

• Sound understanding of the curriculum

• Awareness of the needs of children who speak English as an additional language or have SEND
