Job summary We are looking for a hard working self motivated person to take on the weekly testing of decontamination equipment including Porous Load Steam Sterilizers, Washer Disinfectors, Endoscope Re-processors and the relevant water treatment plants. Based mainly in Cheltenham General Hospital and Gloucester Royal Hospital on occasion. Working closely with Decontamination departments to maintain a good relationship. The role can be physically demanding at times with water softener monitoring and filling brine tanks with salt tablets. Specialist training will be provided and we welcome applications from candidates who have an electrical or mechanical engineering background looking to learn and gain new decontamination skills and competences. There is potential for further training and education in the role and within the GMS estates team. Working in a growing industry of decontamination.
