Job Description:
Main Responsibility:
1. Locate consignments to be checked and move to work station.
2. Open consignments and separate into separate products.
3. Scan 2D barcodes using a hand-held scanner.
4. Where no 2D barcode is applied, perform batch and expiry check on all batches.
5. Verification of received stock on different Authorised websites.
6. Check one batch of product at a time paying special attention to:
1. Quantity
2. Batch number
3. Expiry date
4. Supplier details
5. Anti-tamper devices (ATD)
6. Carton seals
7. Report to Line Manager if stock is incorrect, missing, out of date, damaged or dirty.
8. Report to Line Manager and QA anything suspicious that could imply a falsified medicine.
9. Create electronic product processing records.
10. Carry out authenticity checks according to the Master Reference File.
11. Work with other Goods-In Assistants to carry out independent checks on their consignments.
12. For non-pharma stock, carry out quantity checks and compare a sample to the Master Reference File (MRF).
13. Complete paperwork accurately, legibly and on time.
14. Liaise with Production QC to resolve any issues regarding quantity of stock.
15. Quarantine stock, as appropriate, when it cannot be processed further.
16. Ensure work areas are maintained in a neat and clean state.
17. Participate in any reasonable task requested by Supervisors/Manager.
18. Work closely with all Supervisors/Managers to ensure that all objectives are achieved.
Key knowledge and skills required:
Previous Warehouse experience required.
