An exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable and motivated Parts Operative to join our team at our site in Northwich.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding parts availability and orders.
2. Serve walk-in customers, providing professional and efficient service.
3. Identify and supply parts for a range of vehicle types within the fleet.
4. Assist with the processing of returns and warranty claims.
5. Maintain stock accuracy, including putting away new stock in the correct locations.
6. Pick parts accurately for internal use and customer orders.
7. Return core units and unused parts to suppliers as required.
8. Carry out general warehouse duties including stock counts, cleanliness, and organization.
9. Deliver parts to local customers and collect goods from suppliers using company vehicles.
10. Support other team members to ensure smooth warehouse and parts department operations.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
* Previous experience in a parts or warehouse environment is desirable.
* Good knowledge of vehicle parts and automotive systems is an advantage.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic computer skills for order entry and stock management.
* Full UK driving licence (required for delivery duties).
* Physically fit to undertake manual handling duties.
HOURS OF WORK
* Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 6.00 pm, rotational Saturdays 1 in 4, 8.00 am to 12.00 pm, paid as overtime, i.e., 45 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).
