About The Role
It’s an exciting time to join Regional Engagement. We’re a growing team with big ambitions over the next 5 years. This role will play a huge part in making these ambitions a reality and paving the way for our future. We are recruiting for a Central East (Norfolk. Suffolk, Cambridge, Lincolnshire, Rutland & Peterborough) based Regional Fundraising Manager to join the Regional Engagement Team here at the Alzheimer’s Society. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced team manager with expertise in community, corporate or relationship fundraising. This role will enable you to demonstrate your impact by both growing the overall income within your sub-region by managing and developing your amazing team of 4 Regional fundraisers in Central East, and also through leading by example on securing new sources of income where the opportunity is greatest. This could range from new business acquisition through to delivering higher level bespoke stewardship and key account management for our high value supporters. This is a real opportunity for you to make your mark on the sub region. You will:
1. Translate the Regional Engagement Strategy into an operational action plan for a defined geographic area in order to deliver income targets and KPIs
2. Guide, motivate and challenge your team to maximise their performance in accordance with the Society’s policies and procedures, including due diligence and compliance
3. Support your team to ensure opportunities with their existing high value partnerships and supporters are maximised through the creation and delivery of area and supporter plans
4. Ensure you and your team reach set targets for new business acquisition
5. Deliver, reforecast and monitor your team’s income target, providing detailed analysis and relevant commentary as requested
6. Directly deliver higher level bespoke stewardship and key account management for an agreed number of supporters to increase income and retention
7. Proactively network internally and externally to develop and cultivate key relationships
About you
We are looking for somebody with strong experience of community, corporate or relationship fundraising who has a track record in managing a team, winning new business and providing strong high-level supporter stewardship. If you are passionate about community fundraising, team management and development, and want to be part of an ambitious and strong team environment...then we want to hear from you! You are:
8. a confident communicator who can influence and negotiate at a high level and views feedback as an essential tool for development
9. skilled in managing budgets and forecasting for income and expenditure
10. aware of the strengths and challenges of managing a geographically dispersed team
11. a regional expert, with strong local knowledge of your sub region and are able to use this plus organisational data to inform plans and decisions
12. not afraid to challenge the status quo
