Job Description
Key responsibilities of the Business Development Executive include:
* Identifying new opportunities to grow the company's business through account prospecting and profiling
* Proactively following up leads generated and booking appointments
* Providing effective product demonstrations to prospective customer management, including hosting client site visits if necessary
* Preparing appropriate sales order paperwork to ensure purchase orders are completed
* Managing the database to a high degree of accuracy to ensure targeted marketing activity can take place to generate new business
* Working closely with the marketing team to achieve agreed objectives
* Conducting customer credit checks for all prospects and existing customers
* Updating customers with stock availability lead times and general deliveries
* Liaising effectively with all departments within the company to ensure that customer requirements are met
* Contributing to team performance by sharing and implementing best practice ideas
* Providing quotations to clients
* Working to targets and KPIs set
The Successful Applicant
The successful Business Development Executive will have:
* Previous experience working within a sales/target-driven environment
* IT/Telecoms industry experience is highly desirable, but not essential
* Excellent telephone skills
* High degree of accuracy
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload
* Must be able to deal with technical product information
* Ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Ability to persuade, influence, and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
