Your purpose will be:
To be responsible for exceeding our guest expectations on a day-to-day basis within our Flower Shop, whilst ensuring the flowers and display are to the agreed standard.
You will be accountable for:
1. Ensuring the flower shop meets the hotel brand & 5-star luxury standards.
2. Ensuring all guest flower requests are met with professional service.
3. Taking ownership of any guest request encountered to completion.
4. Conditioning and preparing flowers every morning to be used for the flower shop.
5. Preparing all guest order requests as a priority and delivering to guest rooms.
6. Preparing flower bouquets and ensuring display stands are up to standard daily including pricing.
7. Assisting with our guest orders as direct contact in a polite and helpful manner with genuine interest.
8. Ensuring guests are charged through our POS system.
9. Maintaining the flower shop at the highest standard, ensuring quality is maintained at all times.
10. Being passionate, creative and encouraging all upsell and revenue opportunities.
11. Maintaining, organizing and monitoring stock levels.
12. Assisting Savoy Flowers Team with adhoc duties as required, especially at peak times.
13. Working in a clean and tidy manner, clearing away things you are no longer using.
14. Keeping the floors clean and dry to avoid any slips or falls.
15. Controlling the waste of flowers as much as possible.
16. Maintaining the plants and cleaning retail areas in the shop.
17. Maintaining amicable and co-operative working relations with other departments.
18. Complying with all Food Hygiene and Safety legislation, using working practices that are safe and sensible to your colleagues and to yourself.
19. Acting in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and following the correct procedures when the situation arises.
20. Carrying out additional tasks as instructed and by reasonable request from the leadership team.
21. Adhering to all Savoy policies and procedures as outlined by the hotel.
22. Being an active colleague of the Savoy team in our mission of ‘Turning Moments into Memories’ for our guests.
Qualifications
What you will need to do in this role:
1. 1-3 years experience in Luxury London Retail within Hospitality Industry.
2. Confident florist with all elements of Floristry including wedding wiring techniques.
3. Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal.
4. A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
5. Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others.
6. Proven organizational skills, works well on their own. Able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
7. Applicable job-related skills as per Accountable Duties.
8. Hours of operation 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays, 40-hour week rota.
