Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Fire Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in servicing, fault finding, replacing and repairing fire alarm systems including emergency lighting in accordance with current standards.
We are looking for a Senior Engineer who has the ability to think on their feet and is passionate about finding a resolution to a problem, with the confidence of being able to tackle any situation on site.
Responsibilities:
* Technical Support: Provide technical help to the Service Manager and the engineering team.
* Fault Finding and Maintenance: Investigate and fault find on Fire Detection and Alarm systems, Emergency Lighting systems, Nurse Call and Staff attack systems, Access Control systems.
* Preventative and Corrective Maintenance: Carry out maintenance of all fire and security systems.
* On-Call Duties: Be part of an On-Call Rota for out-of-hours callouts and telephone support, and act as Supervisor/Duty Manager when required.
* Repairs and small works: Perform these tasks on both conventional and analogue addressable fire alarm systems to a high standard.
* Regulatory Compliance: Understand and comply with regulatory standards such as BS5839-1 and BS5266-1.
* Security and Confidentiality: Actively support company policy and best practices in security and confidentiality, especially regarding sensitive customer information.
Requirements
Requirements:
* Skills: Excellent first-time resolution and risk management skills, communication skills, and a dynamic approach to problem-solving.
* Experience: Proven background in the fire industry, experience with conventional and addressable fire systems, and good installation practices.
* Knowledge: Full understanding of BS5839 and BS5266-1, and good overall fire product knowledge.
* Licenses and Certifications: Full driving license, FIA Modules, and knowledge of specific fire alarm systems like Advanced, Kentec, C-Tec, Apollo, Hochiki, and Gent by Honeywell.
