Job Purpose
The Marketing & Creative Director is responsible for the vision, strategy, and functional leadership of the following functions within En Route globally:
1. Service Delivery & Special Project Management
2. Insight Generation
3. Marketing
4. Design
5. Packaging Development
It is key that the above functions work cohesively together to ensure that qualified research intelligence is married to fine- tuned creativity and product development efficiency. Together these functions should be the catalyst for delivering innovative market-leading product and service solutions. It is the role of the Marketing & Creative Director to build the systems and processes to enable collaboration across these functions, provide strategic leadership to the Marketing & Creative team, and champion activity across the broader business and wider dnata catering organisation.
Functional Responsibility
1: Service Delivery & Special Project Management:
As part of this role you will be responsible for the following deliverables under Service Delivery & Special Project Management:
* Responsible for driving the vision, strategy and creation of En Route’s innovation management process and innovation pipelines
* Functionally lead and provide strategic management for the Agile Design Thinking process and to develop the appropriate tool kit to execute and manage the activity in identifying the future product, operational and service change opportunities within our broader market.
* Manage the resource required to deliver projects ensuring that the company is best placed to develop and bring to market new revolutionary solutions that protect company revenue streams and grow the businesses revenue through new products and services.
* Work closely with other functional leaders across En Route, along with relevant teams within the wider dnata Group, our customer base and other key stakeholders to identify and deliver positive results and champion the right process to achieve them.
* Provide strategic direction for any new research required and ensure that analysis is delivered effectively.
* Provide leadership and strategic direction in identifying opportunities and prioritising wider business projects. Lead the ideation phase of each project and then oversee the strategic development of the project management of these initiatives through the broader business to completion
2: Insight Generation:
It is the responsibility of the Creative and Marketing Director to help frame and provide valuable insights which will form the backbone of the projects that will populate the business's innovation pipeline. You will be responsible for
* The strategic direction and framework of all products, markets, and stakeholders for En Route
* Build a sustainable, multiplatform research architecture across multiple functions which link together to provide the opportunity for scrutiny as part of a ‘Design Thinking’ problem space analysis.
* Provide the strategic direction for both broader research and more targeted research to provide improved direction and support for client presentations and submissions
3: Marketing:
To lead and oversee the functional management of all marketing activity globally and provide the strategic direction for all B2B content and account-based marketing globally. In doing so, you will:
* Lead strategy for all B2B marketing campaigns across the full marketing mix and tracking success
* Lead strategy and direction for all content marketing across multiple channels
* Lead the En Route brand strategy for all social media accounts and creative direction of relevant content, video, blogs etc
* Provide direction for all brand assets both physical and digital
* Lead the direction for all promotional events
* Oversee and lead direction for all press and PR activity
4: Design:
It is the responsibility of the role to provide both the strategic direction and creative vision for En Routes design team globally across all functional requirements inclusive of:
* Service concept generation
* 3D service and packaging design
* Branding
* Promotional and sales design requirements
* Photography
* Prototyping
* The execution of En Route brand assets
* Presentation design
* Creatively focussed trend forecasting and research
* Supplier engagement and management
* Studio management
In doing so you will:
* Ensure the direction and outcomes are in line with data analysis and activity carried out.
* Ensure all functions line up to deliver the best products and services that have clear insight threads running through the result and the value proposition.
* Provide the executive leadership required to ensure the execution of all projects is efficient, on target and consistently to the standard expected at En Route
* Ensure that the execution of cross-departmental client presentations and workshops are the paragon of this delivery expectation
5: Packaging Development:
As a provider of packaged food and service products, En Route needs market-leading packaging solutions with a focus on sustainability, product and service performance. You will:
* Provide the strategic leadership for all packaging development ensuring that these link cohesively with the requirements of other functions
* Ensure the right strategic manufacturing and packing plan is in place regionally
* Work with senior members of the procurement and supply chain teams to ensure strategic procurement goals align with those of the innovation activity
* Ensure products and services being designed are feasible and efficient commercially and from a supply chain perspective

* Experience in an executive management role focussed on delivering new business through an in depth understanding of market and consumer direction
