POSITION DETAILS:
Position Title: Dayforce System Administrator
Reports to: Head of HR
Team: HR & Payroll
Department: HR & Payroll
PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Dayforce System Admin will play a pivotal role in driving the development and enhancement of our Dayforce implementation, with a focus on Sales and Operational enablement. The System Admin will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Payroll, Learning, Recruitment, IT and Development, to define, prioritise, and deliver features and improvements that enhance our HR system (Dayforce), its processes and capabilities.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
* Proven experience as a System Admin or similar role in Dayforce implementations, with previous experience in implementing and developing Dayforce HR & Payroll Modules an advantage.
* Advanced report writing and use of XML is essential.
* Understanding of Payroll and HR processes, including entitlements, calculations and processes and procedures, rules and regulations is essential.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with HR, Payroll, Technical and Development stakeholders.
* Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solution design.
* Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage and prioritize a diverse range of tasks and projects.
* Ability to create and track documentation relating to product changes and modifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the resident expert on the Dayforce features and capabilities, possessing an in-depth understanding of solution approach, configuration, and best practices.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, end users, and other departments to elicit and document detailed requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
User Experience (UX): A basic understanding of UX principles to ensure that the user interface and user experience of the Dayforce system are user-friendly and efficient.
Release Planning: Collaborate with Dayforce & Development with wider HR teams relating to planned Dayforce releases, ensuring that features are maintained in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
Ensure full testing of new releases prior to Go Live in Production environment prior to major upgrades.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Work closely with HR/Payroll/Learning to define and execute UAT plans, ensuring that developed features meet quality standards and business requirements.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including user guides & process flows, to facilitate effective use of Dayforce. Work closely with the Learning Team on any Training Documentation and requirements as a result of changes.
Monitor system performance and feedback to identify areas for improvement, recommending and driving enhancements to optimize data provision and system processes.
Data Quality: Function as the key influencer for data quality working with the business owners to design and lead initiatives to improve data, and work with HR & Payroll resources to perform regular data cleansing activity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise between development & technical teams, stakeholders, and end users to facilitate effective communication, address concerns, and ensure successful project outcomes.
Support: Provide support to system users, helping them understand and effectively utilise changes in Dayforce, and offer ongoing support for inquiries and issues.
Security and Compliance: Understand data security and compliance regulations to ensure that the Dayforce implementation and improvements adhere to legal and regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Educational Qualifications:
* Maths
* Technology Studies
Years of Experience:
* 2/3 Years commercial experience in Dayforce system administration (ESSENTIAL)
* +5 Years commercial experience in Payroll and/or HR to ensure understanding of legislative requirements and processes (DESIRABLE)
Skills:
* Dayforce Self Learning Programmes Completed Online for all areas of system (DESIRABLE)
* Excellent communication skills (Written and Oral) (ESSENTIAL)
* Basic XML and SQL query knowledge (ESSENTIAL)
* Good understanding of relational databases and report writing (ESSENTIAL)
