Our clients include major public and private sector organisations like Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Neath Port Talbot Council, Cardiff & Vale College, Wrexham and Bangor Universities, and leading companies like Aggreko and Veolia. As we grow, we’re looking for a Business Development and Sales Manager to help us expand our reach, strengthen partnerships, and drive new opportunities across the public sector, education, and industry.
About the Role
You’ll be part of our team that leads our business development strategy, identifying and securing new clients while nurturing and expanding existing relationships. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to shape our sales approach across core offerings like Careers in 360, our immersive and interactive e-learning and training solutions, and our expanding library of virtual environments.
This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work remotely while maintaining strong connections with clients and the internal team. You’ll have the autonomy to build pipelines, shape proposals, and contribute directly to the growth and direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a high-impact business development and sales strategy
* Generate and convert leads across the public sector, education, and industry
* Build strong client relationships to maximise customer satisfaction and repeat business
* Represent One Step North at events, conferences, and client meetings
* Collaborate with the creative, technical, and strategic teams to shape proposals and pitches
* Stay informed of industry trends and funding opportunities
What We’re Looking For
* Proven track record in business development or sales (ideally in EdTech, or digital services)
* Confident communicator and natural relationship builder
* Strategic thinker with the ability to identify new opportunities and convert them into results
* Comfortable working in a fast-moving, creative environment with multiple stakeholders
* A passion for innovation, technology, and making a positive impact on people’s lives
* Experience working with public sector, education, or large enterprise clients is a strong plus
* Eager to learn more about AI tools and how we integrate them into our platforms to help clients overcome challenges
