We're currently recruiting a dedicated Assistant Retail Manager to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in a major High Street brand on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:
* Understand and deliver all contractual terms.
* Communicate any on site client changes to line manager.
* Communicate regularly with client (as agreed).
* Communicate regularly with sub-contractors (as agreed).
* Promote the accommodation and amenity units and act as a Compass Advocate at all times.
* Ensure all services are delivered to the correct standard.
* Look for opportunities to develop our service.
* Develop contract specifications and SLAs to ensure an optimum service is being delivered.
* Report health and safety issues to your line manager, including all accidents and near misses.
* Promote good safety habits and safe systems of work.
* Deliver training to operate machinery as shown and ensure that the equipment is used safely and in accordance with current regulations and company policies.
* Ensure facilities contract staff are suitably qualified and experienced.
* Ensure the availability of the right number of trained staff at the right time.
* Identify and predict resource shortfalls and excesses and make recommendations.
* Manage succession, both long and short term.
* Conduct staff reporting, appraisals, team briefs, and set standards and expectations.
* Motivate and encourage cross team cooperation.
* Maintain details of current spend.
* Ensure value for money for all areas of expenditure.
* Maintain auditable records.
Our ideal Assistant Retail Manager will:
* Essential:
o This is a varied role, demanding excellent customer facing, people and operational management skills.
o Attention to detail and accuracy.
o Team management experience, including performance management, development, coaching, and monitoring service contracts.
o You must be smart, polite and well presented at all times.
o Excellent customer service skills.
o Strong team player.
o Experience working within a corporate Health & Safety culture.
o Experience with financial controls.
o FM experience is essential.
o Driving licence is essential.
* Desirable:
o Previous experience in Aviation.
o Maintenance software experience.
o Knowledge of transport management systems.
o Experience in multi-sites with Compass.
