Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust are looking for experienced, motivated, compassionate staff who are dedicated to ensuring patients are receiving the best possible care to join the Interventional and Cardiac Cath lab teams. Vacancies have become available due to internal promotions of staff into enhanced practitioner roles. The successful candidate will also maintain general x-ray and CT skills, participating in night and weekend shifts. We provide imaging services over seven days across our hospitals and satellite sites.
The department is a friendly and supportive environment that provides its staff the opportunity to succeed in their goals; we are committed to supporting CPD and encourage role development. Both departments are busy diagnostic hubs delivering high quality imaging for an acute Trust.
A post has become available based at our department at The Maidstone Hospital.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a caring, dynamic, motivated radiographer who will suggest and encourage ideas, to join our team. If you have a commitment to outstanding care, quality and have an interest in developing your leadership skills then our senior team could be for you.
You will be a radiographer with preferably a minimum of 18 months post qualification, the majority of which will be experience in UK healthcare. Previous specialist imaging experience would be an advantage.
You will be required to deputise for the Superintendent Radiographer.

All successful applicants will be required to complete our corporate trust induction once a start date has been agreed.
Following your corporate induction you will be expected to attend the Trust’s 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email if this is problematic) and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.

Person specification
Qualifications
* BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
* HCPC Registration
* CPD evidence
* IV cannulation course
* In possession of or working towards undertaking a postgraduate qualification.
Knowledge
* Competence in a wide range of IR / CC examinations
* A sound knowledge of departmental/other hospital protocols and practices.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills liaising with staff internally and externally.
* Ability to receive and analyse sensitive/ contentious, complex information and respond in a rapid and appropriate fashion.
* Decision making skills Ability to rapidly assess patient personality and respond appropriately.
* Experience of workloads in a busy environment.
