Due to their continued and sustained growth, W&A are delighted to be supporting their recruitment as M Squared is seeking a capable Company Accountant to help support this next stage.
Role Profile
As Company Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in managing and optimising the business’s financial function. You will lead on forecasting, cashflow, reporting, and compliance, helping drive informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
This is a hands-on and varied position that would suit someone who enjoys getting close to the detail while making a broader strategic impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial forecasting, budgeting, and MI dashboard development
2. Cashflow management and reporting
3. Oversight of compliance and internal financial controls
4. Month-end and year-end reporting
5. Bookkeeping and ledger maintenance using Xero
6. Risk management and financial analysis
Person Profile
1. A qualified accountant but applicants that are qualified by experience who can evidence they’ve succeeded in a similar role will also be considered
2. Experience of working in an SME environment
3. Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory frameworks
4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting platforms (Xero preferred)
5. Comfortable preparing detailed budgets and forecasts
6. Analytical, detail-focused, and solutions-driven
7. A collaborative communicator who thrives in dynamic environments
