Salary : £36,338.00 Job Description: We are delighted to invest further and expand our teams with a new opportunity for a qualified plumber to join the property maintenance team. Our customers are at the heart of Gentoo, therefore, providing excellent customer service is an essential part of this role. We are looking for a qualified Plumber with knowledge and understanding of relevant Health & Safety Regulations, Codes of practice and Guidance, with experience in plumbing procedures in a domestic environment. We are looking for an individual who can communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and wider teams, ensuring Gentoo deliver excellent customer service to every customer. You will work a standard 36-hour working week with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business, with occasional overtime where required. The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo. Key responsibilities: Undertaking planned and responsive plumbing works covering hot and cold-water systems, pipework, and associated equipment. Servicing hot and cold-water systems including thermostatic mixing valves, vented/unvented cylinders, thermal stores, expansion vessels, showers and all associated equipment per current regulations and British Standards Liaise with Line Managers regarding the status of all work and liaise and interface with other trades as required. Complete all necessary paperwork as required by Gentoo and Regulatory bodies Maintain the impressed stock levels on the vehicle and carry out all work efficiently and on time What we are looking for: City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating qualification or above A full UK driver's license Experience in plumbing including the maintenance of thermostatic mixing valves/taps/showers, expansion vessels and associated pipework/equipment. Fully conversant and competent to carry out works per current Plumbing Regulations, Gentoo’s requirements, and Regulatory bodies A flexible approach to meet the demands of the role Competence in the use of handheld IT systems A logical approach to fault finding and problem-solving.
