We're seeking a talented individual to join our team in Glasgow, which is responsible for duties relating to funds assessment of value and due diligence of EPFL's delegated third-party investment management firms, in a timely and accurate basis, whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will operate within defined standards and guidelines which are aligned to service level agreements and data quality controls. As Technical Specialist - Fund Oversight, your responsibilities will include among others
* Delivery of your portfolio of funds assessments of value, liaising with delegated third-party investment managers and other stakeholders as necessary, assessing qualitative and quantitative data and presenting to the relevant EPFL governance committee
* Delivery of completed due diligence on delegated third-party investment management firms and presenting analysis and recommendations to the relevant EPFL governance committee
* Ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard, any anomalies are reported to your line manager within agreed timescales and personal and team KPI's / KRI's / MIR are met
* Support the change management programme relevant to your area and be actively involved in the development and delivery of changes to operational and systems infrastructure
* Ensure that fair treatment of clients is at the forefront of all activities and that all interactions are conducted in an open and transparent manner
* Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the firms regulatory framework and how this applies to your role and have an understanding of the risks to clients within their operation and how these will be mitigated
To be successful in this role, you should
* ACD or fund administration experience gained within a financial institution
* Demonstrable knowledge of authorised funds, including relevant terminology
* Demonstrable knowledge of the regulatory environment and how it applies to and impacts your role
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and intermediate level Excel
* Demonstrate ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner
* Strong Interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences
Desired
* Experience of delegating and reviewing work advantageous but not essential
* Relevant professional qualification(s) desirable e.g. CISI Investment Operations Certificate
