Engineer - DevOps Warwick, Warwickshire, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the DevOps Engineer will support all teams within the Software department. Working with agile teams based on Scrum principles, your primary focus will be supporting build and release processes for multiple products and overseeing the migration of our current infrastructure to a new managed service platform.
This hybrid role requires being in our Warwick HQ 2-3 times weekly, with occasional travel to other sites; a UK driving license is essential.
Responsibilities:
* Support build and deployment of large-scale applications
* Collaborate with IT and network infrastructure teams on networking requirements
* Continuously improve the DevOps strategy
* Maintain CI/CD pipelines
* Manage and patch on-premise and PaaS compute resources
* Manage GIT repositories and enforce repository policies
* Administer source control systems (GIT/Subversion) and branching policies
* Assist in migrating to a distributed, high-availability infrastructure
* Research and develop new DevOps tools
* Manage virtual machine host resources
Candidate Profile:
A strong DevOps Engineer with development experience, familiar with Windows Servers and Azure.
Key Requirements:
* Expertise in PowerShell and scripting (DOS/Batch/Bash)
* Experience in Windows Server maintenance (updates, backups, disk management, scheduled tasks, services)
* Proficiency in Azure services
* Knowledge of Azure DevOps administration, pipeline creation, integration, and maintenance
* Knowledge of SQL Server database maintenance and configuration
* Full UK Driving License
