Job purpose
I am looking for an enthusiastic, tolerant and understanding PA to support me with promoting a healthier life and with doing the things I want to do. They will motivate me, assist me and keep me safe.
About me
I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me with going outdoors, cycling, walking, swimming, and to get fresh air and exercise. My hobbies include DIY and gardening which I would like for my Personal Assistant to support me with. I would like for someone to accompany me on dance-outs for the Morris Dancers.
I have limited mobility due to arthritis and I have episodes of Todd’s Palsy where I have seizures and can become paralysed. I also have Sjögren's syndrome, and I suffer from depression.
I have a small dog. I live in a smoke-free accessible house, and I have a rollator.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Keeping me safe and accompanying me when out and about.
Accompanying me when I am cycling and swimming.
Assisting with DIY, gardening and housework.
The successful candidate will be reporting to me as the employer.
Mobile phones are only to be used in emergencies.

Essential Criteria
Driving licence (and over 25 for insurance purposes) to drive my automatic Motability car
Physically fit (to support me with all my activities)
First Aid training (training could be provided)
Able to handle the event of a Todd’s Palsy episode
Tolerant and understanding
Good with time keeping
Organised
Enthusiastic
Desirable Criteria
An interest in music and dancing.
Summary terms and conditions
Hours, days and times of work: 8 hours per week. Flexible days and times which can be discussed at interview.
Pay rate: £12.00 per hour
Annual leave: The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement).
Expenses: You will be reimbursed for prior agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
Sick pay: I do not operate a private sick pay scheme but provided you meet the eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
Pension: I do not operate a private pension scheme but I will fulfil my statutory obligations via the NEST pension scheme.
