As Copywriter, you will work with our leading in-house client services, design, strategy, and digital teams, to deliver a best-in-class service to our global technology brand clients, working across a wide range of copy requirements for multiple campaigns, social, websites, and client channels.
Your responsibilities
Working in a vibrant marketing agency across a variety of projects means every day will be different. However, as part of your typical day, you’ll be involved with:
1. Participate in ideation sessions to share new copy perspectives and ideas
2. Act as a key source of copywriting knowledge and advice to other team members and colleagues within the wider agency
3. Work with the Copy Lead to take and develop briefs, demonstrating a collaborative approach throughout
4. Assist the Copy Lead whilst working with the Client Services Director to ensure effective briefing of copy tasks
5. Check the quality of copy output, including proofing checks where required, ensuring consistently high standards
6. Assist the Copy Lead with new team members’ induction plans
7. Champion the importance of great copy and oversee implementation of style guides and relevant process alongside the Copy Lead
8. Adhere to briefs, deadlines, and tone of voice guidelines, while bringing experience and creativity into play
9. Take a customer-first approach – understand the specific business reader and how to talk to them in a professional, inspiring way
10. Build credibility and trust with clients and agency team members at all levels
11. Turn complex technology into captivating copy and challenge traditional notions of B2B speak
12. Write strategic, conceptual, and highly targeted copy for all elements of the marketing mix
13. Have a passion for the written word and how copy and technology go hand in hand
14. The ability to create engaging copy for the full marketing mix and across multiple channels (including digital, social, video scripts, white papers, messaging frameworks, etc.)
15. Have creative flair and originality
16. Have experience of turning complex technology into captivating copy and challenge traditional notions of B2B language
17. Understanding the needs of the client services team to show awareness of day-to-day client demands
18. An ability to understand new ideas quickly and to convey those ideas to others
19. Enjoyment of working and sharing ideas with other members of the team
20. Must be able to mediate copy challenges to arrive at the best solution
21. Have proven experience of working within a marketing agency environment
22. Extensive and demonstrable experience in copywriting
23. Bachelor’s Degree in English/Marketing
