Techniche Global are supporting an Electronics Manufacturing firm based in Andover with appointing a Production Quality Engineer. For this role, the business is flexible with experience and background. They can consider Quality Professionals with a minimum of 2-4 years experience in any manufacturing or production environment. Electronics experience is not required.
Location: Andover, Hampshire (100% onsite)
Salary: GBP35-GBP42.5k per annum
Duration: perm / full-time
Hours: Monday - Thursday: 08:00; Friday: 08:30
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting all other departments to ensure they remain compliant to the accreditations strategic to the Company; primarily AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485.
2. Leading product quality in production, which would include containment, investigation, correction, implementation, and validation of corrective actions.
3. Assisting in the development of a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the business.
4. Supporting the introduction of customer-led Quality Initiatives such as Total Preventative Maintenance.
5. Assisting with the maintenance and development of the Company’s Quality Management Systems.
6. Supporting the introduction of any accreditations deemed necessary to reach the Company’s strategic direction.
7. Supporting the compilation and review of strategic company and departmental KPIs.
8. Identifying and highlighting opportunities for improvement in day-to-day activities.
9. Working closely with all other departments to ensure cohesion and synergy between teams to achieve quality product delivery to the customer on time.
10. Undertaking any other training/education identified by the company for career development.
Qualifications
1. Ideally 2 years+ experience in a Quality Engineer position within a manufacturing/engineering environment or similar.
2. Knowledge of working to the following regulated standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF.
3. Experience in problem-solving and investigation methods such as 8D, CAPA, 5-Whys.
4. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and data handling.
5. Experience in planning and conducting supplier assessments.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
