My client, the world leader in motion capture technology, is looking for a Product Owner for Hardware & Integration to help define and drive the direction of their hardware products, including embedded software, for their global user base. Their products are used in major feature films, games, and commercials and serve as critical measurement tools for biomechanics, robotics, and cutting-edge science. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring compatibility with third-party vendors' products, both current and future. You'll also work closely with product development teams to enhance product offerings. Key Responsibilities: Drive the direction and development of all hardware products, including embedded software. Ensure seamless integration with third-party vendor products. Present new products to clients, represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and customer sites. Collaborate with other Vicon offices globally (e.g., Los Angeles and Denver) for coordination across teams. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, or a closely related field. At least 2 years of experience as a product manager or product owner in a relevant technology industry (motion capture experience is a plus). Strong background in electromechanical design. Deep knowledge of optics and PC systems. Familiarity with embedded software, broadcast standards, and RF is desirable. Experience in feature prioritization and product differentiation. Experience working directly with suppliers in electrical and mechanical design and manufacturing. Additional Qualifications: Dynamic communication and presentation skills are essential. Experience with production manufacturing techniques, optics, broadcast standards, and embedded software would be distinct assets. The role may involve domestic and international travel to customer sites, conferences, and other Vicon offices for cross-business coordination.
