Rate: £11.94 per hour

About Eastlands:
Eastlands supports 20 adults living with complex mental health needs, physical disabilities, and dementia.
The home has two ten-bed units, which gives it a homely and welcoming feel. One of the units is exclusively for those who identify as male and who have complex mental health needs.
In 2021, Eastlands welcomed a new Manager who has embedded a positive culture in the home. The home has an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 on carehome.co.uk.
Your role will involve supporting people with all aspects of their day-to-day living, which may include taking up new hobbies, meeting friends, getting involved in social activities, going to the gym, or looking their best!
Your day-to-day duties will include:
1. Providing personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and on occasion, assisting with meal times.
2. Promote independence, dignity, respect, and choice across service users.
3. Support social and recreational activities; both in and out the home individually, or as part of a group.
4. Maintain care records; recording observations, activities, and assessments.
5. On occasion, welcome and train new members of your care team.
As a Care Assistant, you’ll provide person-centred care to support our service users to maximise their independence and live their best life.
- You will provide warmth, enthusiasm, and compassion when providing care.
