Purpose of the Job
We are currently seeking a Design Engineer to be responsible for creating designs and technical drawings for cosmetic solutions as well as retail fixtures and store environments.
1. Responsible for enhancing the retail experience by designing and developing creative POSM materials on behalf of HH Global’s FMCG and Retail clients.
2. Through re-engineering of existing and the creation of new designs support HH Global’s contractual cost reduction savings commitments.
3. Designing and preparing specifications for quotation & production of permanent, semi-permanent and temporary POS displays.
4. Designing innovative displays and merchandising with eye-catching creativity and strong messaging that appeals to the brand's target market.
5. Managing design projects from initial brief to supplier handover.
6. Bring ideas to life using expert specific software skills.
7. Working directly with the client, building the relationship and liaising with them on a regular basis.
8. Attend client and third-party meetings.
9. Manage client expectations and build reputation for creativity.
10. Develop and continue a good understanding of client brands.
11. Contribute to the creation of pitches from a design aspect.
12. Work closely with other Product Design team members across multiple markets.
13. Support other team members in the pursuit of delivering the highest standard of service to the client.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage multiple projects at once.
2. Act as a lead in the development of projects.
3. Assist in preparation of engineering timelines and estimated costs for internal approval.
4. Control the queue, distribute work accordingly to internal/external capacities and deadlines.
5. Redline revision to existing drawings.
6. Article 3D modeling and drawing based on agreed solutions.
7. Generating 2D drawings of approved 3D models.
8. Communication & weekly meetings (informing engineering and project teams about time estimates and project progress).
9. Document management (keeping all technical documents properly organized).
10. Participate in multi-branch development projects.
11. Guide and educate JDE in engineering techniques, procedures, and quality.
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
Professional:
1. Working knowledge of production materials.
2. Experience of common production techniques.
3. Fabrication experience in wood, metal, fabric, electronics, or plastics a plus.
4. Able to sketch ideas by hand before using CAD 3D programs.
5. Commercial awareness of material and fabrication costs.
6. Experienced in researching possible solutions & innovations.
7. Experienced with assembly and installation of finished items (shelving, wall panels, furniture, sculpture).
