The Content Acquisition (CA) team is an integral part of the Data department. We are responsible for managing, acquiring, and integrating content and data from Exchanges, brokers, sell-side, buy-side, and other types of providers to drive the value of the Bloomberg Terminal and downstream enterprise products. We lead theernance, cost, and quality of the data we acquire, and we collaborate with the widerpany to develop our data acquisition strategies ensuring we are aligning with the agendas of our key partners.
The Role:
Within CA, the Exchanges & Data Model team supports over 350 trading venues globally and is constantly looking to improve our technical capabilities to effectively manage our market-leading Exchange content. We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the team as a Technical Account Manager (TAM), based in the London office.
Technical Account Managers work closely with a variety of departments across Bloomberg - including Engineering, Sales, Product, Networks, and Enterprise Solutions - as well as the Exchanges themselves, to ensure the successful delivery of real-time Exchange data on Bloomberg customers. Technical Account Managers are required to lead multiple projects simultaneously and managepeting responsibilities such as creatingprehensive business requirements, conducting analysis, interpreting new Exchange announcements, and facilitating and testing product releases. For this role, we are looking for a highly creative and motivated professional who has a mixture of strong analytical, project management and technology skills.
We will trust you to:
1. Handle all technical aspects of real-time market-data related projects. These could be driven either by the Exchange or Bloomberg, aimed at enhancing the existing market-data setup or adding new data and/or products;
2. Ensure the successful delivery of Exchange products to Bloomberg customers by meeting non-negotiable deadlines;
3. Manage relationships and coordinate projects with customers and the Exchange, including calls/visits as needed;
4. Prioritize projects and manage expectations to both our internal and external partners;
5. Act as the subject matter specialist for the technologies Exchanges utilize to deliver data to vendors, and for the technical specifications set out by the Exchange to assess the impact of changes;
6. Be the conduit between the Business and Engineering by interpreting business needs into project requirements, and effectivelymunicating these;
7. Collaborate closely with the Data Model (DM) team to ensure adherence to Bloomberg Data Model standards for the movement and transformation of market data through Bloomberg's Feeds Infrastructure;
8. Collaborate with the DM team to have new DM features designed/released;
9. Translate Exchange documentation and technical specifications into business deliverables for new exchange data on Bloomberg;
10. Conduct testing both pre-production and post-release;
11. Effectively run projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering to post-production release and stakeholdermunication management;
12. Function as the overall escalation point for any issues with exchange market data;
13. Thrive on building innovative solutions to sophisticated problems.
