Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is a leading conservation charity in the UK and has an excellent reputation for the development of ‘green prescriptions’, working to improve people’s wellbeing through engagement with the natural environment. This work is the basis of our alternative education provision and has proved successful and popular with a wide range of commissioners, students and their carers. Accordingly, we are looking for an inspiring, knowledgeable, committed and experienced Education & Wellbeing Officer at The Willows Care Farm, Broughton Gifford.
Working alongside the Head of Care Farms, Care Farm Managers and our experienced and diverse staff team, the post holder will be responsible for leading the daily delivery of one-to-one nature-based therapeutic activities for children, young people and adults with complex and additional needs, mental ill-health, social and communication difficulties, and those in need of emotional support. Experience of working one-to-one with children and young people with complex and diverse needs is essential, as is an understanding of person-centred practice and the use of nature, animals and creativity to support the holistic education of the children and young people with whom we work.
