Clerical Officer - Single point of access
We are looking for a resilient, robust, self-motivated clerical officer to join our clerical team. The successful applicant will provide a booking service to District Nurses, Treatment Rooms, Bladder & Bowel, and Podiatry.
Main duties of the job
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust and Bolton Borough Council are working in partnership to deliver efficient and effective patient-centred, integrated services across the health economy to reduce hospital admissions and support people to remain at home.
In order to meet this objective, we are seeking to appoint a Clerical Officer who is a flexible individual with excellent communication, IT, and organisational skills to become part of the clerical team within the Integrated Community Services Division.
The role will be part of a clerical team that works over seven days between the hours of 8am and 5pm. This is a 365 days a year service, which includes all bank holidays.
Duties will include:
* Processing referrals
* Inputting data
* Taking telephone queries
* Preparing reports
* Booking appointments
* Cancelling clinics
* Photocopying
* Other general office duties
Experience of working within healthcare would be preferable, though full training will be provided.
The post is 37.5 hours per week over 365 days, including weekends and all bank holidays on a rota basis. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours to cover the service at times of peak pressure.

Person Specification
Education
* English and mathematics GCSE level
* Previous experience in a busy office environment
* NVQ Administration level 2 or word processing qualification
Knowledge
* Experience of using a range of computer software packages to produce accurate, well-presented documents
* Evidence of previous experience using software packages

* Experience of working in a busy office environment
* Evidence of maintaining information systems specifically LE2.2
