We are currently recruiting for Behaviour Support Workers for an Alternative Provision School in Leeds.
The school supports Primary and Secondary aged school children aged 5 - 16 who have been identified as having Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated challenging behaviours. The children in school have a range of complex learning needs including Autism and ADHD. Additionally, a number of the young people who attend may have disadvantaged backgrounds and experienced a range of Adverse Childhood Experiences
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with children or young people with SEMH needs. People with lived experiences are also encouraged to apply!
Ideally you will have Level 2 Team Teach training, although this can be provided by our inhouse trainers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting students and providing a safe, friendly and stimulating environment to learn and thrive in
- Understand and follow individual Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and ILPs (Individual Learning Plans)
- Adapting support styles working with different vulnerable young people
Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.
