GIS Analyst - 6 months - Hybrid (Warwick) - Inside IR35
Hamilton Barnes is seeking an experienced GIS Analyst to join a leading UK energy infrastructure organisation on an initial 6 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to support high-impact energy projects through the analysis, management, and visualisation of geospatial data.
This hybrid role requires 3 days per week onsite in Warwick, offering a collaborative and innovative working environment. You'll be working alongside technical specialists and project teams, with access to cutting-edge GIS tools and enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect, manage, analyse, and visualise spatial data using modern GIS tools and techniques.
* Create and maintain high-quality GIS layers, maps, and spatial databases.
* Perform spatial analysis to support strategic decisions and operational planning.
* Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand geospatial requirements.
* Develop and document geospatial data standards and best practices.
* Support the integration of GIS data with business systems and external platforms.
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
What You'll Ideally Bring:
* Strong experience in GIS data analysis, cartography, and spatial data management.
* Proficiency with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
* Strong understanding of GIS principles, coordinate systems, and spatial data formats.
* Experience working with geodatabases (File GDB, Enterprise GDB) and formats such as Shapefile, GeoJSON, and KML.
* Ability to perform geospatial analysis, data editing, and data conversion.
* Python/ArcPy Scripting experience is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
Contract Details:
* Duration: 6 months (Strong View to Extend)
* Location: Warwick - 3 Days per Week Onsite/Hybrid
* Daily Rate: £375 (Inside IR35)
* Start Date: ASAP
