What you’ll do:
* Lead & manage bids and tender submissions for the Transport business, reporting to the Business Development Director.
* Manage a Bid Team based in Warwick and London, planning resources for bid opportunities.
* Ensure effective resource utilization to maximize business opportunities.
* Oversee end-to-end management of bids, ensuring quality and success in line with telent’s procedures.
* Improve bid quality and develop best practice approaches.
* Monitor bid costs and seek continuous improvement in bid investment return.
* Develop relationships with customers through meetings and presentations.
* Manage Bid team performance, KPIs, and SLAs.
* Lead bid strategies, prepare bid materials, and support post-submission activities.
* Plan workload, forecast bids, track costs and success rates, and conduct bid reviews.
* Maintain telent’s Bid wiki (Bid library).
Who you are:
Key requirements:
* Extensive experience managing high-performing Bid Teams and leading successful bids, especially in Public Sector markets like Traffic, Rail, Defence, and Emergency Services.
* Strong project management, organizational, and financial skills.
* Broad understanding of relevant technologies and services.
* APMP or equivalent qualification with proven bid success.
* Excellent bid writing, financial, and presentation skills.
* Leadership experience in building and guiding bid teams.
* Ability to develop solutions for complex challenges and influence stakeholders.
* Proactive, accountable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* High emotional intelligence and commitment to quality and success.
