The Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body is responsible for providing the Parliament with the property, staff and services required for the Parliament’s purposes. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Broadcasting Office as a Broadcast Technical Manager. The Broadcasting office forms part of our Parliamentary Business directorate of the Parliament. The Broadcasting Office plays a critical role in Scottish democracy. The office is responsible for televising, streaming, and archiving all public proceedings and events, operating and maintaining complex hybrid conferencing systems and production of a range of digital products, providing transparency and accessibility to everyone. It delivers live feeds to national and international media, as well as stream content directly to the public through scottishparliament.tv and various online channels. Beyond core parliamentary business, the office also manages a variety of televised and webcast public events. This requires a creative and strategic approach to ensure compelling coverage.
As Broadcast Technical Manager, you'll be responsible for:
* Maintaining the integrity of our broadcast systems while constantly evaluating new technologies.
* Recommending and implementing solutions that help the Scottish Parliament achieve its ambitious digital goals.
* Encouraging a culture where your team members are empowered to deliver high-quality work which will enhance the reputation of the Parliament.
* Championing collaborative working with colleagues across the parliamentary service, promoting positive and open communication, as well as our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The Selection Process
Stage 1

Stage 2
At the final stage, you’ll be invited to attend a virtual panel interview and will be asked to undertake a technical assessment. The technical assessment is expected to take place on 27 November. Interviews will be held on 2 December, although this is subject to change. Feedback will only be provided on request to those who attend interview.
