This is a permanent, part-time position of 27 hours per week. Working pattern is over 7 days rotating between day/nightshift as required to meet the needs of the hospital.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Coordinator to join the team within Royal Hospital for Children.
The Clinical Coordinator facilitates effective working across all areas within RHC and the Neonatal Units within Women and Children’s services. The post holder is responsible for effective handover with RHC Hospital at Day/Night reporting on patient safety and supporting the hospital huddle. The post holder provides senior decision making and has a clinically operational overview of the site. The individual may be called upon to manage and support clinical pressures.

It is essential you are a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and have substantial post registration experience. You should also have the ability to lead teams, lead practice and continuous professional development, work effectively as part of a multi-professional / multi-agency team.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
