Apex Resources are currently recruiting for Warehousing Supervisor/Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the logistics and warehouse operations in the UK. This involves managing the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Management:
* Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of products.
* Supervise a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Organize the proper storage of goods and ensure that inventory is accurately tracked.
* Implement best practices for stock rotation and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or excess.
* Ensure that orders are picked, packed, and prepared for shipment accurately and on time
Logistics Coordination:
* Coordinate the transportation of goods to and from the warehouse, ensuring on-time deliveries and collection.
* Work closely with transport companies and third-party logistics providers to optimize delivery schedules.
* Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely stock replenishment.
* Track orders and shipments to ensure that products are delivered to the correct locations without delay.
* Prepare and maintain all relevant shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork when applicable.
* Develop and maintain delivery schedules and monitor for any disruptions or delays.
Training, Communication & Reporting:
* Maintain regular communication with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
* Provide regular updates and reports on deliveries and warehouse performance.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any delivery or inventory issues promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for UK logistics operations.
* Creating and Reviewing of SOP’s and BPM for warehousing and logistics
* Managing training of all warehousing staff using relevant SOP’s and maintaining training records
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
* Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, including risk assessments and safe working practices. · Manage the upkeep of warehouse equipment and ensure regular maintenance to avoid operational disruptions. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in warehouse or logistics coordination
Education: A relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse management is an advantage.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS), inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK logistics, health and safety guidelines, and best warehouse practices.
