Your new role
You will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of the construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial reports.
* Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimise project costs.
* Manage subcontractor procurement, contracts, and payments.
* Monitor and control project expenditures and variations.
* Provide accurate and timely cost advice to project teams and clients.
* Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
* Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors.
What you'll need to succeed
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Professional membership with RICS, CIOB, or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
