We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Graduate Trainee Sales Assistant for our Leyland store.
We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude and the energy to get things done. Someone hungry to learn new things, who’s keen to make something of their career, and enjoys going above and beyond to make a customer’s day.
A detailed program of training is provided, initially to support with learning and understanding the foundations of the electrical industry and then progressing on to development of sales and management skills. This training is delivered via a combination of on the job, online learning and specific training modules away from branch.
A clear career path is in place with opportunities to progress into either an external sales role (account manager) or assistant manager role and then beyond. CEF believe strongly in promoting from within and even our CEO started driving a van.
As a Sales Assistant, you will provide excellent sales and customer service in-store and by phone. In time you will learn to prepare customer quotations, order goods and negotiate with suppliers, pick customer orders and be responsible for managing goods in and out of the store. You’ll build relationships with customers, prepare merchandising displays and offer expert advice on products.
CEF is a leading electrical wholesaler with 397 stores in the UK. Wherever possible we promote from within our organisation so there are great opportunities for the right person with the drive and ability to advance.
Occasional van driving also required as part of the role for urgent deliveries or holiday cover (Transit type van) so driving license is required.
You’ll need to be good with people, a strong team player and willing to go the extra mile to help our customers get the job done. A degree level qualification in Business Studies or associated is preferred, but open to all subjects where there are clear applicable transferable skills.
