Job Description
With a fantastic view over Cardiff Bay from our Head Office, we’re looking for a candidate who isn’t afraid to work with our network of broker partners to hunt out, structure and ultimately, feel the thrill of closing a new business deal.
Here at Atradius we sell Credit Insurance to businesses across the UK but the ideal candidate will be focusing on SMEs so, being agile and adapting to their every need is a paramount skill.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take a step into a career in financial services as the role combines learning about the product itself – Credit Insurance with being exposed to a variety of decision makers across both our broker and customer networks. Not forgetting support from the experienced and close-knit team we have in the Cardiff office and across the UK, who will provide you with full training and support.
In this position your key responsibilities will be:
1. Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers.
2. Raising awareness of the company and product in the marketplace.
3. Presenting, negotiating and closing credit insurance deals.
4. Active pipeline management ensuring sales opportunities are maximised with your broker network.
5. Creating and applying appropriate sales strategies to maintain your network and ensure there’s plenty of deals in the pipeline.
6. Developing engagement plans for key partners, helping to sell Credit Insurance as a solution, along with our other ancillary services.
Knowledge, Education and Experience
Previous experience in a Business Development related role is highly desirable. We are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude and the following attributes:
1. A drive to exceed sales expectations.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. A team-player, able to work alongside & with other team members to progress/enhance our offering.
4. Organisation skills (the successful candidate will be required to manage their own sales pipeline).
5. An independent self-starter with a passion for delivering results in a competitive market.
