Description
1. Responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials and goods required for manufacturing activities.
2. Conducting market research to identify new suppliers and vendors.
3. Negotiating contracts, terms and prices with suppliers and vendors.
4. Manage supplier and vendor relationships.
5. Forecasting future material needs and maintaining inventory levels.
6. Ensuring compliance with the company's procurement policies and procedures.
7. Collaborate with other departments to determine their product and service needs.
8. Prepare and process purchase orders and documentation.
Profile
A successful 'Buyer' should have:
1. Strong negotiation skills.
2. Minimum 3 years experience in Manufacturing.
3. Experience handling a large spend.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures.
6. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Experience with procurement software.
