Wood Process & Energy is looking for a Senior Planner on a full time basis on a Fixed Term, PAYE or PSC contract for 12 months. This role is based at our clients offices in Northop, England Why join Process & Energy? The P&E part of the business, which sits in the Operations part of the business can offer a wide range of opportunities which will allow you to develop your skills across a portfolio of onshore projects in different sectors. Our current portfolio includes green hydrogen and fuel switching, as well as supporting local clients with energy transition. Additionally, we work on UK refineries, petrochemical facilities, fine chemicals and pharmaceutical facilities. We have a number of clients who we are working with to design their pilot plants to test exciting new technologies, with a view to partnering with them as they move to design and build full scale commercial facilities. We have some of the best engineers in the UK, and we have high expectations on the performance of the project teams. Come and join us and be part of the team at this exciting time., Developing, updating and maintaining the overall project / construction schedule based on inputs from all internal and external entities.,
* Quality and accuracy of project / construction schedule and progress reports
* WBS preparation and updating
* Project / Construction schedule preparation and updating based on project requirements
* Preparation of a proper procedure for quantitative progress capturing, collection and reporting, to be implemented by Project Team and all external contractors
* Issue of weekly progress reports, based on inputs from all key people within project/construction team
Previous experience as a Project and/or Construction Site Planner
* Experience of schedule - planning and control
* Knowledge of other project control tools and industry best practices
* Knowledge of risk management techniques
* Knowledge of statistics is preferred
* Knowledge of plants construction and commissioning - main construction and commissioning in sequences and main constraints
* Knowledge of MS Office packages including MS Project
* Strong knowledge of Primavera P3 / P6
