We are seeking an Industrial Operations Engineer to lead and support all business units and functions within Industrial Operations at our multinational organisation. This includes Production, Maintenance, Health and Safety, Quality, Compliance, and Projects. Day to Day of the role:
1. Monitor, review, report, and actively take action to optimise operations and key performance indicators across all business units.
2. Understand recycling and waste management activities and demonstrate technical knowledge of industrial equipment in an engineering discipline.
3. Engage with multidisciplinary teams to work efficiently and effectively under strict reporting timelines, providing technical support and operational data.
4. Meet with potential new customers/suppliers to discuss solutions that improve, innovate, and increase operational efficiency.
5. Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to achieve business unit key performance indicators.
6. Assist in the creation and implementation of new investments and projects.
7. Optimize and develop processes, activities, operations, and projects with consideration for Health & Safety, Quality, and Compliance.
8. Lead data reporting and develop goals for business growth, ensuring they are met.
9. Provide technical support for operations in our facilities or for external customers, including projects and new investments.
10. Audit and review processes and operations.
11. Travel to UK depots and customers/suppliers, with occasional travel to other European countries.
12. Deputize within the Industrial team's activities and responsibilities as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. HND, BSc, or MSc in a relevant Engineering discipline.
2. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
3. Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office, CAD, Maintenance software) with significant data handling and presentation skills.
4. Superior communication skills at all levels, with customer engagement experience.
5. Experience supporting operations and/or Engineering.
6. Knowledge of the recycling and waste industry.
7. Ability to read and understand technical content.
8. Experience working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.
9. Ability to prioritise in a complex, fast-paced environment.
10. Proven ability to operate in high-pressure situations and handle multiple competing priorities.
11. Experience in Continuous Improvement Process.
12. Full driving licence.
