We're looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join us for a 12-month maternity cover contract.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts to agreed timescales, including Profit & Loss, balance sheet & cashflows, reconciliations and commentary
2. Conduct month end routines and operations
3. Maintain accruals and prepayments schedules
4. Reconciliation of all intercompany transactions and balances
5. Assist FP&A manager with systems & process improvements, to help ensure accuracy of financial transactions, reporting & modelling
6. Assist with the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process
7. Preparation and review of quarterly group VAT returns
8. Close and active involvement with day-to-day short term cashflows for the group
9. Management and reconciliation of purchasing and corporate credit card accounts
10. Assist with the year-end audit & production of statutory financial statements
11. Maintain and manage the fixed assets registers including depreciation
12. Assist with improvement projects across the department
13. Responsibility for all day-to-day business taxes reporting, forecasting and compliance
14. Other duties commensurate with the role as may be requested by FP&A manager.
Requirements
1. Full qualified AAT or part qualified (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA)
2. Experience in managing a team effectively
3. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail when working under pressure and to deadlines
4. Good keyboard & IT skills
5. High proficiency with Excel (Power Pivot/Query)
6. Ability to quickly build professional working relationships across the group
7. Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
8. A demonstrable ability to develop and improve systems and processes to deliver efficiencies
9. Commercial awareness
10. Willingness to learn and develop new skills
11. Flexibility to occasionally work outside of normal contracted hours to meet deadlines
