You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. The Insurance Group, based in the London Baker Street office, provides advice on a wide range of issues, including assurance services, external and internal audit, corporate governance and risk advisory, regulatory advisory including section 166 skilled person reviews, portfolio transfers, actuarial loss-reserving and pricing, taxation, solvency and regulatory compliance, management information systems, litigation support and forensic accounting.
The Senior manager will provide expert guidance on a wide range of Life Actuarial issues, including assurance services, external and internal audit, corporate governance and risk advisory, regulatory advisory including section 166 skilled person reviews, portfolio transfers, actuarial loss-reserving and pricing, taxation, solvency and regulatory compliance, management information systems, litigation support and forensic accounting. This is a client facing role, so you'd expected to be commercial and client centric.
Significant insurance actuarial experience and who is a qualified Life insurance actuary
Strong technical actuarial knowledge.
A high standard of IT literacy, including a strong working-knowledge of MS Excel and a willingness to learn additional applications (eg Access, SQL, R).
