Job overview
The post holder will be working under the guidance of an Operational Manager and will take responsibility for designated elements of the Central Appointments service. These elements will be for the outpatient appointment bookings.
Main duties of the job
1. Manage a team of circa 20 members of staff and coordinate duties across that team.
2. Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and supervisory skills.
3. Ensure the team delivers an effective and efficient service to service users including clinicians, nurses, and other key staff groups.
4. Take a lead role in providing a comprehensive, effective, and professional Healthcare Records Service.
5. Lead Healthcare Records admin staff and ensure key performance indicators are met.

Qualifications
* GCSE in Maths and English (A-C/4-9) or Functional Skills (level 2)
* Knowledge of secretarial and administrative procedures and systems, the majority of which are non-routine, acquired through training and experience to Vocational Level 3 or equivalent; plus knowledge of specialist functional/medical/legal terms, organisational policies and procedures.
Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills
* Knowledge of functionality of Patient Administration System
Experience
* Extensive use of Office and Outlook, including Word, Excel, e-mail, and internet.
