Working hours: 28 hours per week across 4 days Interview Date: To be confirmed An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and committed individual to join the Salvation Army Debt Advice Team as Area Debt Advice Coordinator. You will be able to work across East Lothian, in this rewarding role, you will provide a service that is both caring and professional as you support our clients to become debt free. Key Responsibilities: Supported by the Salvation Army Divisional Debt Advice Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Dunbar Debt Advice centre as well as a case load of clients supporting them in finding a debt solution and helping them to maximise their income and minimise their expenditure. Outreach to other community centres to support clients in areas where advice is difficult to access. Ensuring all advise given meets regulatory requirements. The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate: The ability and desire to continue and undertake new training as a debt adviser and good communication skills are essential in this position. Administration, IT and advisory experience. Understanding and be willing to work within the values and missions of The Salvation Army.
