Job Purpose
We are seeking an Agile Delivery Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping our teams deliver small batches of value to our customers.
You will work closely with our technology and product teams to streamline how we deliver software following the key underlying principles of agile. We are not interested in certifications or Frankenstein frameworks like SAFE; we want Kaizen, customer centricity, and experimentation.
Our ideal Delivery Manager
Must
1. Have proven Agile experience (Kanban and LEAN strongly preferred)
2. Know how to inspire and excite people about building our products
3. Have great communication skills
4. Have a proved track record of building, releasing, and supporting software products (at least 4 years)
5. Know how to write user stories and acceptance criteria working closely with their team.
6. Question any work that does not contribute to a measurable outcome.
7. Understand the importance of culture when delivering software
Should
1. Have domain knowledge related to B2C web and mobile applications
2. Use probabilistic forecasting to help with predicting when software might be delivered
3. Have a good awareness of technology
4. Be able to “coach” internal and external stakeholders to follow an agile development ethos
Could
1. Have experience of “marketplace” businesses
2. Have worked with geographically dispersed teams
3. Have worked in a startup environment in a previous role
4. Have delivered presentations to evangelise agile methods at conferences or user groups
5. Have experience building products in a number of industries
Won’t
1. Think Story Points is a good way of estimating
2. Be following a waterfall style development methodology
3. Be writing any code
