As a Business Support Apprentice, you will provide a fully comprehensive and confidential business and administration service to the Inclusion, Special Education Needs and Disabilities (ISEND) team.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* You will learn how to co-ordinate responses to enquiries and requests from initial contact with customers, all within the allocated time frame.
* Using internal bespoke systems, you will research information, collate data and present findings.
* Regularly, you will provide business administration support to senior managers and officers within the ISEND team.
* Working alongside our experienced staff, you will be helping to arrange meetings and undertake administrative tasks before and after the meeting. It will be key for you to attend panel meetings to learn how to note take and support the chair with capturing actions to be followed up.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

* Throughout your 18-month apprenticeship, we will allocate you a workplace mentor to give you guidance and support in completing your Level 3 Business Administration, which requires weekly day release learning at South Gloucestershire and Stroud (SGS) College, Filton Avenue, Filton, Bristol, BS34 7AT.
